Czech Republic's eSIM
Prague absorbs most Czech itineraries, and it is a city where a phone earns its keep — tram numbers change by time of day, the castle district is a maze of near-identical lanes, and restaurant bills often need a currency check before you agree to them. A Czech eSIM handles all of it.
Install the profile before departure; it activates on arrival at Václav Havel Airport. Handy immediately, since the airport bus-and-metro combination is much easier to work out with live transport data than from the timetable board.
We list 91 Czech Republic plans from $0.99. Daily bundles cover a long weekend in Prague; 15 and 30-day options suit a wider route through Brno, Český Krumlov and the Moravian wine country. 61 plans are continental if Vienna, Dresden or Kraków are also on the list.
Networks and coverage
90 of our 91 Czech plans include 5G, with 4G/LTE beneath. Prague, Brno and Ostrava perform well, as do the main D1 and D5 motorway corridors. Coverage in the Bohemian Forest and along smaller regional rail lines is thinner but adequate for maps and messaging.
These eSIM plans provide mobile data and do not include standard calls or SMS. Keep your regular SIM available for verification codes and use internet messaging apps over data. Note that Czechia uses the koruna, not the euro — worth having a currency app that works offline as well.
