Networks and coverage
Plans connect through Italy's established mobile networks, with 5G available on 91 of our 92 Italian packages and 4G/LTE as the fallback. Speeds are strong across cities and the main autostrada corridors; expect slower performance in the Apennines, on smaller Aeolian and Tuscan islands, and inside older stone buildings.
These eSIM plans provide mobile data and do not include standard calls or SMS. Keep your regular SIM available for verification codes and use internet messaging apps over data. Many packages are top-up capable, so you can add data mid-trip without installing a new eSIM.
