Mexico's eSIM
Mexico covers a lot of ground and a lot of trip types — a week in Tulum bears little resemblance to a fortnight in Oaxaca or Mexico City. What they share is a reliance on apps: Uber and DiDi are the safest way to move around cities, colectivo routes are learned rather than published, and archaeological sites have timed entry in high season.
Install the profile before you fly; it activates at Cancún, Mexico City, Guadalajara or Los Cabos. Genuinely useful at Cancún, where the airport transfer market is aggressive and a pre-booked app ride avoids the entire negotiation.

Networks and coverage
All 50 of our Mexico plans include 5G, with 4G/LTE beneath. Coverage is strong in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey and along the Riviera Maya resort strip. Highway corridors between major cities perform well.
Mountain areas in Chiapas and Oaxaca, the Copper Canyon and desert stretches in the north are patchier. These eSIM plans provide mobile data and do not include standard calls or SMS. Keep your regular SIM available for verification codes and use internet messaging apps over data.
