Pakistan's eSIM
Pakistan rewards travellers who plan, and connectivity is part of that. Buying a local SIM requires biometric registration tied to a national ID — a process visitors generally cannot complete easily. A travel eSIM avoids it entirely.
Install the profile before you fly; it activates at Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad. Useful on arrival, since ride-hailing is widely used in Pakistani cities and considerably simpler than negotiating with taxi drivers.

Networks and coverage

The Karakoram Highway has coverage in towns but long gaps between them, and the high valleys around Skardu, Hunza and Fairy Meadows are limited. Note that authorities sometimes suspend mobile data regionally during security operations or major events — that affects all networks. These eSIM plans provide mobile data and do not include standard calls or SMS. Keep your regular SIM available for verification codes and use internet messaging apps over data.
