Peru's eSIM
Peru's logistics are the reason to have data here. Machu Picchu entry is timed and ticketed in advance, Inca Rail and PeruRail run different services from different stations, and altitude means your first day in Cusco may not go to plan. A Peru eSIM keeps bookings and changes manageable.
Install the profile before you fly; it activates at Lima Jorge Chávez or Cusco. Useful straight away — Lima airport taxis have a poor reputation and app-based rides from inside the terminal are the standard advice.

Networks and coverage
55 of our 64 Peru plans include 5G, with 4G/LTE beneath. Lima, Cusco, Arequipa and Trujillo are well covered, as are the Sacred Valley towns of Urubamba and Ollantaytambo.
The Inca Trail itself has little to no coverage, and Amazon basin areas around Iquitos and Puerto Maldonado are limited outside the towns. These eSIM plans provide mobile data and do not include standard calls or SMS. Keep your regular SIM available for verification codes and use internet messaging apps over data.
